We completely understand the struggles & supports needed when creating and running an organization. As a result we have created this unique community of like minded problem solvers to assist in every step of the way. Whether organizations are just in the beginning steps or have been in existence for years we are here to work with them!!!

Meet The Team
David P Tanis
Executive Director & Founder
Founder and President of the Queens, New York based non-for-profit organization The Showing Hearts Foundation, David P Tanis brings with him over 10 years of experience in marketing, project management, brand development and community building. Being a firm advocate of teamwork, he brought together a group of creative minds & developed this coworking community to help individuals and organizations in the completion of their mission/initiatives more efficiently and/or effectively. David and his team pride themselves on inspiring the youth and others to not only talk about what is needed to better a community but to more importantly take the action and make an impact. As the Executive Director of The Showing Hearts Foundation he works with all of the partners, sponsors, staff and board. He creates and pushes the Showing Hearts vision.
Director of Operations
Enthusiastic, vibrant individual with over 8 years of PR, Marketing, Event Planning, Project Managing, and Creative Directing experience. Marcy brings this knowledge to the Showing Hearts Foundation guiding a team of individuals that strive to support our members in every aspect surrounding these pillars of expertise.
Director of Community Engagement
Strong media and communication professional skilled in event coordination/ hosting high volume social events, event social media corresponding, developing digital media across all platforms, creating press packages and developing strategies based on brand audience to increase impressions and engagement for social media accounts. Leonora is also experienced in curating campaign launches, creating email campaigns for brands based on demographics and needs, organizing high volume social events, event social media corresponding, developing digital media across all platforms, creating press packages and developing strategies based on brand audience to increase impressions and engagement for social media accounts. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the Community Based Organizations whom are affiliated with the Showing Hearts Foundation.
Chief Development Officer
Denise Dixon started her non-profit journey back in 2010. While enrolled in NYU’s Grant Making and Foundations certificate program Denise joined the Duncan Tree Foundation as their grant writer. During this time she completed a grant writing program at CUNY York College, and completed several courses at The Foundation Center NY. Since she began this work Denise has served local churches and various organizations ranging from transitional housing, domestic violence shelters, youth organizations, human services, and individuals in grant proposal and research. Denise is committed to teaching fundability, strategic development and community engagement.
