♥ The Weekend Recap · Aug 29 & 30

Showing Hearts was on the move.

What a weekend. From one neighborhood to the next, our volunteers pulled up and showed out.

Saturday · Three Stops

Farmers Day. Liberty Park. Hempstead.

Saturday took us to three stops, standing beside partners who love this work as much as we do. Good people, good conversations, good day.

Sunday · Sneakers & Backpacks

Black Mothers Speak × Try Love Foundation

We closed the weekend out with the Try Love Foundation, giving away Adidas sneakers, socks, and backpacks. Kids left with fresh gear and big smiles, ready for the year ahead.

Thankful for every volunteer, partner, and supporter who keeps showing up. This is what love in action looks like. ♥

♥ Back-to-School Season · Two Partnerships

Ready for the first bell.

We spent the month teaming up with hospitals and elected officials so Queens students could start the year with what they need.

A Community Coalition

NYC Health + Hospitals / Queens

Proud to be part of a back-to-school push that helps students feel prepared and supported walking into a new year.

With Gratitude To

A big thank you to MetroPlusHealth for sponsoring, and to GUS, CommonPoint Queens, and NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens for showing up alongside us.

When we invest in today's students, we help build a stronger tomorrow.

Volunteering with Senator Leroy Comrie's office

Serving Alongside Our Elected Officials

Senator Leroy Comrie's Back-to-School Fair

Our team spent the day at the Back-to-School Supplies Giveaway & Resource Fair, working alongside New York State Senator Leroy Comrie and his team. Nothing better than a Saturday spent with families and students. ♥

♥ Community Partners in Action

An Open Closet in Richmond Hill.

With Revelation of Living Word Deliverance Ministries

We linked up with Revelation of Living Word for their Back-to-School Community Giveaway. Families were able to grab free book bags, clothing, and school supplies from the Open Closet, so kids could walk into the first day feeling ready.

Big thanks to the Revelation team for opening their doors and to every neighbor who came through. Partnerships like this are how we keep the lights on for families in our community.

♥ Faith & Fellowship

A weekend of growing together.

We were so glad to spend the weekend at Evangel Temple Inc.'s "Let's Grow Together" celebration. Faith, family, fellowship, and a whole lot of love in the room. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us in.

♥ A Quick Note · Before We Go On

Meet The Hub.

You'll see this name pop up a lot in what's coming next, so here's the quick intro: The Hub is our little corner of Southeast Queens.

It's a community space we built for gatherings, workshops, kids' programs, meetings, cookouts, church group nights, birthday parties, whatever you're planning. If it brings people together, it belongs here.

And it's yours to book. If you've been looking for a spot in Queens Village to host something, we'd love to have you.
